FAQ: Readme - Security B-Sides Orlando - April 11

This is my first [event|BSides|conference], what should I expect?
- Just go and find out! I guarantee you will enjoy it.
Where is the conference at UCF?
- Check the Venue page.
Is there a hotel near by?
- Yes. Check the Venue page.
Is parking free?
- Yes. There will be signs directing you to parking garage C! Check out the Parking location.
Is there food open on campus?
- Yes. There are 11 on campus food options, and we will have a list on the program guide.
Do I need to register for workshops? Are they free?
- Yes. We prefer ahead of time on the registration page. If there is still space, you can sign up at the event. Online gets higher preference.
- Only the Quadcopter class costs money, $200, for parts that you keep.
Do I need to sign up for the CTF?
- No. Simply show up any time to play.
Will there be booze?
- Yes… really? Do you need to ask?
Is the schedule done?
- Yes. It may change slightly, even on event day.
I can’t make it to the event, can I get a refund?
- Sorry, no refunds. Between the amount of fees we incur with you buying your ticket and then getting refunded, we end up losing a lot of money processing refunds. I suggest trying to sell it or give it away on Twitter as there are a limited amount of physical badges. You can transfer the ticket to someone via EventBrite. Lastly don’t be a dick and sell the ticket for more than $20. They can get a ticket at the door for $20.
